For reference, I am a near maxed iron who loves temporary game modes and PVP. I achieved dragon cup in trailblazer and regularly do LMS. So why would I not dare touch this temporary PVP game mode?

Because there is no merit

For many players they wouldn't even consider logging in because it is so painful to know that your strategy, hours put in, and pk skill mean nothing compared to someone who can just be fed gear either from their clan or by using main game GP.

Making DMM ironman mode would be so much better because every person would feel like it was up to their abilities, strategy, and time put in that determines how well they do.

One argument I have heard against this is that the fights would be worse because of worse gear. I firmly believe the opposite, because the gear would still be solid and there would be the spectacle of how tf did he get claws, tent whip, full tank gear, ACB, and a toxic staff?

TLDR: Ironman mode DMM would be significantly more popular than the current iteration, both at opening day and through the run time.
