    Rank 3 CoX (11.000 KC) advertising an account service discord in a total level world using multiple 3rd party autotyping bots. He is a known goldfarmer in the raiding community, and now also providing rule breaking services. Can something be done about this?

    Duo Slayer for GIM

    With GIM in a few months I was thinking about group slayer and how that would be a nice addition for everyone who is going to be playing through the early and midgame once again.

    Originally this was removed because of the boosting abuse and the lack of legitimate accounts using the function. However I believe it would be much more popular for legitimate groups simply as something else to do together early or midgame.

    Group Ironman Only:

    • A big part of abusing the mechanic was to not do quests/block specific tasks in order to only get bursting/cannon tasks. By the nature of being ironmen, this already cuts down a cannon's power, and it is harder to make straight cash in order to purchase the runes needed. This by itself could reduce the rate of abuse if the mechanic were only available for group ironmen.

    Only consider shared monster blocks:

    • One of the ways to limit the power of a double block list would be to only skip those that the group have in common. So if Metal Dragons are both skipped the partners would not be assigned metal dragons, but if only one person has blocked Greater Demons, that can still be assigned. Since partner slayer lends itself to slower xp (as either less monsters to fight in an area, or you fight the same monsters for half xp) but receive more points per hour, a decent tradeoff could be having to skip more tasks or simply complete slow ones.

    Assigning tasks based off the person with the most quests:

    • In order to properly abuse the system, it was important for one player to not complete specific quests like Dragon Slayer and this would stop both players from receiving any Dragon tasks. By reversing this and "forcing" the player to complete a quest or skip their task that method would no longer work. Once again this could be part of the tradeoff for using partner slayer.

    These would be a bandaid solutions and I believe it needs a permanent solution in the future. However the midgame is lacking group content, and this would be something that is easy to implement once again as opposed to something like a new Sarachnis-level boss that would not be complete between now and it's release.
