    tl;dr: we're changing the way you programmatically access GE prices from the wiki. This should make it easier to build tools and spreadsheets that need current item prices.

    Hi folks! This is just a heads up for any consumers of price data on the wiki, that the method for accessing the data (and the format) is changing significantly. You can read this for the underlying reasons, but the end result is that there are new (much faster) APIs where you can access price data. Some examples:

    See https://api.weirdgloop.org/ for the full docs, and here for more examples. We're not ratelimiting, but we ask that you please set a descriptive user-agent if you use these (or other wiki APIs).

    /u/Gaz_Lloyd created a Google Sheets script to directly use these new APIs in spreadsheets – you can see that in action here. We're working on getting this approved by Google as a sheets add-on (so you can just click a button and use the price functions), but that's not done yet.

    The data here is generally going to be updated within 15 minutes of the daily GE update. We hope this makes it easier for people to make cool things that rely on GE prices, especially since the official APIs are difficult to use programmatically.
