    500 vorkath KC later, I died to Obor.

    So I logged into osrs like 4 hours ago and decided to do some vorkath. I started off at 440 kc and went on till like 500 kc, pretty chill, no issues. I got bored of vorkath and thought I'd switch to zulrah or zalcano, but I thought I'd postpone a bit since I had a tormented bracelet buy offer in the GE at regular price, and I was discouraged to do zalcano coz I heard of the nerf.

    Went to bank, fuck it , I had one hill giant key. Meh let's just chill out and do a quick obor kill. I put on my full bandos, serp, tentacle, prims, torture, ferocious and got my dragon warhammer. Took like 4 Sara brews and 2 super restores, should be more than enough. Potted a stam and a super combat, put on some Ac/DC while running to the hill giant cave.

    It had been a while at obor so I wasnt sure what I was supposed to pray, just stuck with protect melee. It's a fucking giant after all. Went in guns blazing, immediately dragon warhammer double spec him and it hits him like 2 50's. (Ik ik, dwh at obor? I dont have claws or ags, and thought obor wasnt big enough for my crystal hally) Ez pz, he has low health, I switch back to my tentacle. He hits me a 12 with a fucking boulder, and I notice I forgot to drink from my pool after vorkath and was sitting at 15 hp after the hit. OHSHITOHFUCK, I insta drink a full Sara brew, but my health doesnt go up. FUCK MY LIFE THIS IS A STRENGHT POTION AGHH, I try to fucking find a tele tab in my inv and see I have none, I panic so hard , I forget that I have a rada blessing 4 with unlimited teles. I switch to protect range and frantically run around trying to find an exit.

    This motherfucker walks up to me like the incredible hulk and smashes my head in with his club, dealing 15 fucking damage. I panicked so hard I forgot to even switch on protect item. I had forgotten this shit is instanced. I kept my ferocious, zerk ring, ddef and serp beig untradables, but bye bye sweet torture and bcp. Tonight I lost 35 mil to the easiest boss in osrs. Back to vorkath I go.

    I just started learning tob a couple days ago with some other 0 kc learners and we have died an easy 50 times apiece and haven't even got our first kc yet. It's already near impossible to find people willing to teach, if these increased death costs happen no one will be willing to go with lower kc people, it just feels super bad to have to pay 4x as much to learn content that is super prone to wiping. Just a noobs view on these changes, maybe scale the cost by kc instead of deaths.

    New Death Mechanics Are To Punishable For New ToB Players

    Hi there,

    The new death mechanics are to harsh for players who wanna try out ToB. Most new people go to world416 where you have to hope to find a team. Teaming with unknown people and/or bad communication results in deaths (a lot).

    It personally took me >40 attempts to get my first kc, due to constant member changes, and not knowing all mechanics yet.By current deathfee It costed me 4M gp, but by proposed fees it would have been 15M~.Not to forget multiple deaths after obtaining 1kc.

    Imo Jagex should change the death mechanics to not go of amount of deaths but #kc hit.

    0-5 kc 50.000 gp
    5-50kc 150.000 gp
    50-100kc 300.000 gp
    100kc+ 500.000 gp

    This is not to punishable for new players but punished for higher kc people.

    UPDATE:
    Jagex have reduced the fee on their homepage.

    Does this mean if i do 5 man Zalcano, there's 1 1/2500 chance for a unique in my name? And then a seperate roll for the Zalcano shard or Tool seed, thus making it 1/5k?

    I'm sorry but if it's like that, that's insane. If it's 1/500 per person that's fine tho.
