    I saw the post about the UIM who lost 3B(Sorry buddy). Decided to check for myself if it bypasses everything. And sure as shit did. Have not logged onto the steam client since day 1. Redownloaded it just now. And it didnt require a password, or a 2fa even being waaaaaay over 30 days since last login. If (and thats a big if)you're steam account is compromised they can get access to your osrs accounts with no trouble if it is linked to an osrs account.

    You can unlink by logging into the runescape account settings on rs3 homepage>linked accounts>manage steam>unlink

    Im all for ease of access but to have such a huge oversight where it completely bypasses 2/3 of the ONLY security features available to us is a big step backwards in account security. Thank god it cant bypass the bank pin.

    Edit: Yes secure every channel and every aspect of your being online… In other news water is wet. 2fa on everything. Unique passwords on everything, no shit. The point is being missed by a lot of people in the comments. If. Read that word again. If. If. If your steam account is compromised then they immediately have access to your osrs account. When they should JUST have access to your steam account. But because Jagex implemented it this way steam account access=osrs account access if linked. If you dont use the steam client on a regular basis. Unlink it so thats not another lane hackers can target to gain access to your osrs accounts.

    Edit2: Those of you just saying add 2fa and steam guard are right. Secure your steam account. But if jagex security features like a password/2fa were required on steam thats even more secure for yall right? So why not have those features to begin with? You could double the security of the steam client by utilizing those features. So why not do it?

    I don't have any friends that play osrs, but I have played runescape since 2006 and for the first time ever playing, I have achieved the barrows gloves. I only get a couple hours a week to play. This is a great achievement. Wooohooo!

    A 7 Month Master Clue

    So about 7 months ago, I got a master clue. I got pretty lucky with cryptic steps and coordinate steps.

    A few days in on step 7 I got the Sherlock challenge to craft blood runes. At this point I was 50 rc. (This is not an RC bad meme)

    Now for many of you, this would just mean ~100 hours at ZMI or ~80 hours of lavas. Which naturally I tried, but just couldn't get into. Way too much attention for way too low of an entertainment value.

    I resolved to get to 77 without ever actually runecrafting, and 7 months, 180 quest points, 28 tears of guthix runs, all easy, medium, and some hard diaries, and 75 genies later, I still do not have 77 rc.

    But to be honest? I'm really glad I chose to play the game in literally every other way than the most direct path to my goal. I genuinely think that if I had only done ZMI and had to do 20 days of 5 hours a day, I would have straight up quit the game.

    I have developed a deep respect for the sweats who just absolutely murder grinds like these for the flex.
