    Dced from 492 before update and lost everything I was wearing

    So 492 had INSANE server lag and I was playing LMS. Everyone was complaining about it. 10 minutes before the update I get disconnected. I assume everyone did because I couldn't log back in on that world and it was 3 people playing on 492.

    When I logged back in on a different world everything I had in my inventory and equipment is gone. I didn't really have anything of value money wise, but I had my full colored graceful, a pickaxe, and 2 skillcapes that are now gone.

    Edit: Thank you all for upvoting and for the awards. I have no idea what they do but they look cool. At this point I'm not sure what to expect. I'd be delighted to get my graceful back. It's a bit dull if they're gone for good, but it could've been way worse. For me that is.

    The goldfarming situation at COX is completely out of control. 60%+ of the top 250 is now taken by goldfarmers with thousands of KC. 5 have 10k+ KC . It has come to a point where the top 25 has 6 legitimate players, the others are known gold sellers in the raiding community. Put a hold to it Jagex.

    If you want to get grip onto the huge goldfarming issue, it's time to actually punish these "high profiled" gold sellers that they have now become with thousands of KC. Stop condoning this issue.

    There is no way that someone with nearly 14k+ raids KC that does not stake, who does raids in void, a fury, a normal trident, a rune pickaxe and a tent whip is legitimate. Everyone who raids with these guys knows how bad the situation is, except for Jagex apparantly. Maybe they just do not want to know how bad the situation is. Massive FFA raiding clans are completely domintated by these gold farmers with thousands of KC. How do these accounts keep running whilst offloading litteral Billions of GP without getting caught?

    It has been nearly 3 months since a proper wipe happened in the highscores. They wiped a few of the bosses, but the others remained untouched for the most part. This issue needs to be addressed on a more frequent basis given how out of hand the problem is getting. A few months later, and these accounts are back up running again. Zalcano is completely dominated by godlfarmers yet again. True end game bosses such as CoX and ToB remained mostly untouched, yet they are among the best GP/Hour ingame and also the most infested with goldfarmers.

    The only competitive aspect of this game - competing for highscores - is made completely impossible due to bots and shared goldfarming accounts that take top placements at every single boss. Both high- end bosses and low-end bosses have fallen victim to this issue. Can we at least have a word that this issue is being looked into? We haven't had much of a response from Jagex regarding this issue, even when it has been talked about a lot.

    365 days of OSRS' lore, day 1: What are the ages?

    Runescape's history is divided in ages quite like in our own history, and what marks the end of one and the beginning of the other is an important event that signifies an important change.

    The first age starts when Guthix discovered the empty planet of Gielinor (our planet) and inhabited it, bringing along from other planets races like humans, gnomes and giants via the world gate, a portal between worlds present in all planets, this is an age of peace.

    The second age starts with Zaros and the other gods finding Gielinor, this is the golden age of Zaros, a god whom, in the absence of Guthix, conquered a vast portion of Gielinor and established an age long empire.

    The third age starts with the slaying of Zaros by the hands of his general, Zamorak, whom absorbs Zaros' power and becomes himself a god, which starts the god wars, an age-long war in which many gods compete to conquer the fallen Zarosian empire.

    The fourth age starts after the ruckus of the god wars finally awake Guthix from his slumber underground, he immediately banishes all gods save himself from the planet via his edicts, which forbid large scale wars from gielinor altogether, even between mortals. this is an age of rebuilding.

    The fifth and current age starts with the discovery of magic and runes. this is considered to be an age of enlightement.

    I love this game's lore, and I wish more than only a tiny fraction of the community knew about these stories, so i'll be posting once a day a lore bit to promote interest into this game's rich lore.

    I will be using lore from RS3 only when I deem it clear enough that the lore between the two is shared, as quests like SOTE, DSII and SOTF have shown that most of it has mainly stayed the same, if not for some additions.

    In the following days i'll delve into the lore of each age in a more detailed way.

    Tempoross Scaling Problems and Today's Nerf

    Alright this was already a pretty widely observed issue before today's update but it really needs to be addressed now. Tempoross game point to reward point scaling is fundamentally out of line with how Jagex seems to want people to play the game. Unlike following the system for points used in Wintertodt which works well where players are given a baseline number of points for achieving minimum game participation and then decreasing return for additional points achieved beyond that baseline, for Tempoross Jagex elected to give minimal points for the baseline participation requirement and then a disproportionate amount of reward credits for points achieved beyond that.

    This system rewards longer games, and outside of large group coordination that isn't possible in mass worlds, made solos the best available option for getting minigame uniques and the pet. Ignoring the larger issue in the game where Jagex seems unable to balance content in such a manner that soloing the content isnt the most efficient way to play the game, today's change of gutting the solo method by removing the attack stalling mechanic when tempoross is lowered beneath 10% health. So to review, jagex designs the point system to disincentive faster, large group games for their new group skilling boss. In response, players adapt to that incentive structure and begin doing solos. Jagex dislikes players doing solos, but instead of fixing the underlying issue that drove players to not play the group content with a group, they just slapped a band aid nerf on it to prevent solos.

    Please decide how you want this content to be played Jagex and either revert the nerf or adjust the point system.
