    Just happened. I haven't played OSRS in a long time, so I didn't know much about training agility.

    I started a lap at the varrok agility course and got to a part where a guy was just standing there. I thought maybe someone went afk for a moment, didn't pay too much mind.

    Then I ran by him and he did the 'wave' emote, so I was like, ok that guy is intentionally doing this. Maybe he's just having fun? Some kind of scammer? Maybe he's making a youtube vid?

    I came around the course again and there he still is, still standing there, waving at other people too. I decide to engage this interesting guy so I run up to him and say "what are you doing?" ... to no response. I scroll over his character to see his name, and ... it's a fucking npc. Feeeeelin like a dunce. Hoping no one saw what I said lmao

    Why is earning Aerial Fishing rewards so slow?

    Costs:

    • Wiki states pearl rate is around 16-24 per hour
    • Cost of all 3 rods: 370 pearls
    • Cost of fish sack: 1000 pearls

    Thus:

    • Time to get all 3 rods: Around 18.5 hours
    • Time to get fish rods AND fish sack: 68.5 hours (!)

    I can't even imagine doing this nonsense for more than an hour or two, let alone 68+.

    As a reminder:

    • Until just recently, fish sack was purely cosmetic
    • The rods are almost completely useless. They offer a tiny convenience, but very little. Not even for UIM given how long it takes.

    Why? Why did they release it in this state?

    The problems:

    • It's incredibly click-intensive at up to 1 click per tick, averaging somewhere around 1.33 clicks per second (way over other fishing training)
    • The XP rates are mediocre (except at very high levels with high concentration. I was getting 25k with 71 fishing and 87 hunter)
    • The rewards are mostly useless, except Anglers which you shouldn't do here.

    If you were crazy enough to go for Angler's here, you would be looking at around 20 hours instead of the ~4 at Trawler. (1/12 * 48 * 5 minutes)

    I don't need the rewards to be good. However, if rewards, click-intensity, and XP are all bad - at least we should be able to fill the collection log decently fast. 10 hours would seem a lot more reasonable for rods + sack. That would put it more in line with additions like Camdozaal which was either fairly fast or AFK depending on part of log you're going for.

    Petition to make a major BUFF to the Grotesque Guardian's drop table... Honestly they absolutely SUCK!!! Kills the point of fighting 2 bosses and garbage loot return.

    While this does not directly relate to OSRS, I was hoping to let the OSRS community know about a possible Arcanist 2 and Jagex Partnership! I've seen a few posts now and again about players wanting arcanist brought back or even put in the burthorpe game rooms! So I thought I would share the news while hoping this post doesn't get removed!
