    I am an old hand at MMORPGS, started with Ultima Online back in the day and went on to play DAOC, WoW and some of the other failed attempts to copy WoW. When Runescape was new I was deep into UO and Daoc and didn't pay it any attention. Now with the sad state the genre is in and OSRS popping up on steam I thought I might as well give it a try. 24 hours later and holy cow, I am hooked.

    This is giving me the exact feels I got when I started my adventures in Britannia. I am now debating if I sub to OSRS or RS3. Still not sure if this is geared more towards Runescape veterans or if I as a new player can have fun as well in the long term. For now I am having a blast just humbly leveling my skills in and around the starter city trying to find runes to get my magic skill from 8 to 10 for the adventure path.

    Here I am with my beastly pc, Nioh 2 and Death Stranding waiting to be played and having a blast in OSRS instead. Anyway just wanted to get my opinion out as one of the many new steam players out there.

    About 3 weeks ago, I blew open a 50b+ RWTíng operation in one of the biggest PVM clan in OSRS. Information including usernames have been passed onto Jagex via tipoff and the anticheating team DM on Twitter. Nothing has happened to these accounts ever since.

    It shows how high level non-3rd world players actively take part in RWT'ing, selling gold they don't need to other players or the black market.

    These accounts, where some of them have high-end boss killcounts such as TOB and COX approach ten thousand killcount. Despite sending detailed information about these accounts which includes advertising infernal cape services, those players remain unpunished ever since.

    It's time to punish gold selling players no matter their status in the high level pvm community. These players probably aren't getting banned because they are not from the typical goldfarming countries such as Venezuela or Egypt, so their accounts do not get flagged.

    Consider leaving a postive review to osrs on steam. This will boost the game in the overwhelmingly positive games list and could secure the game some growth over time.

    A warning to all you new or inexperienced players

    People are out to take what you have! OSRS currency is worth money! People will go out there way to scam you out of wealth.... There are many elaborate ways to get what they want. Here's a small list and others feel free to add.

    1. Gambling bots are not real and made for you to lose.
    2. Red worlds are PvP worlds, there will be a warning before you hop so READ IT.
    3. Don't trade your items to players just stick to the G.E until you're confident you understand real value Vs trade value.
    4. Don't risk items you don't want to lose in the wild.
    5. In the wild you protect 3 items while unskulled, but not on high risk worlds or Target world's.
    6. People will try and skull trick you and are smart about it. Turn player attack options to off if you don't want to skull.
    7. Always read the warning signs before you Tele.
    8. If it sounds too good, it probably is.
    9. Anyone spamming bank sale, doubling, armour trimming, need help with 30k etcetc is usually a bot or a scammer. Don't think you can outsmart them.

    Good luck fellow Runescapers and enjoy your adventure. This game is fantastic and you will lose your life, just don't lose all your GP to a scammer.
