In-depth Lava Runecrafting guide using Runelite plugins Posted: 26 Nov 2020 11:01 AM PST Introduction For this guide, I will be going over the most optimal way to craft lava runes using Runelite plugins starting from level 50, and this is assuming you have level 82 magic and have completed Lunar Diplomacy to cast magic imbue. This guide is mostly aimed at those wanting to either speedrun to level 77 runecrafting for blood runes or those looking to do this all the way to level 99. It is highly recommended to get 99 crafting first if you plan to do this until 99 because the crafting cape is a huge QoL improvement. From level 50-74 runecraft, you can comfortably get 62k+ xp/hr, and after level 75 you can get 70k+ xp/hr. Setups There are six different variations depending on your levels, but all setups should have cosmic runes, law runes, and astral runes in the rune pouch, while wielding a tome of fire and a mist battlestaff. I opt for this setup instead of a steam battle staff + astral, cosmic, and air runes because the law runes allow you to teleport out if you forget a dueling ring. Level 50-74 Runecraft; no crafting cape. Level 50-74 Runecraft; crafting cape in inventory slot Level 50-74 Runecraft; crafting cape in cape slot Level 75+ Runecraft; no crafting cape Level 75+ Runecraft; crafting cape in inventory slot Level 75+ Runecraft; crafting cape in cape slot Setting up your client Runescape client settings Set your client to resizable at the smallest size In advanced options, enable Side-panels and uncheck the option 'Can be closed by the hotkeys.' Enable Shift-drop Right-click on your spell book and enable spell book filtering to only show utility spells F key options: Check 'ESC closes current interface' ESC for Inventory Your choice F key for Equipment Your choice F key for Spell Book Bank Have your binding necklaces, dueling rings, staminas, and pure essence at the bottom right corner like so. It's best to have your items in the home tab in stead of another tab, because if you accidently click the search button, it will always take you to the home tab, in which case you can simply click it again to cancel. Set your withdraw quantity to 'All'. You must have an abyssal book somewhere in the bank to shorten the dialogue when repairing your pouches. Key Remapping options Uncheck 'Remap Camera' Remap F Keys options ESC to A Whatever your Equipment F Key is to S Whatever your Spell Book F Key is to D Camera options Expand outer zoom limit set to 22. This will make the altar more in view when you teleport to the duel arena so you can directly click it in most cases. Set your zoom speed to either two different numbers. If you are using the crafting cape teleport, set it to 240. If you are teleporting to castle wars, set it to something like 500. Check 'compass options'. This will make it easier to line up your camera by right clicking the compass to look east. Menu Entry Swapper options Right-click on inventory icon and select 'configure'. Right-click earth runes and select 'Use'. Right-click crafting cape and select 'Teleport'. Right-click on inventory icon and select 'save'. My settings In the Plugin Hub, get the Essence Running plugin My settings In practice Have the camera pointed east and looking all the way down. Zoom all the way out when teleporting to the duel arena. Hover your cursor to the left of the prayer orb to be ready to click on altar. When your character is running to the altar, zoom in either "two steps" or "one step" with the scroll wheel, depending on which variation, for better positioning. Hold shift throughout the entire runecrafting process. Zoom back out "one step" with your scroll wheel and hover your cursor above the stalagmite (shown in the video) to be ready to click on the bank chest if you are teleporting to the crafting guild. When you're banking hold shift again throughout the whole process. I'd only recommend wearing the crafting cape if you are able to teleport back just as fast when it's in the inventory because it means less runs overall.
