    Apparently Mod Sween is going to make a statement soon? I'm not stopping until I see it.

    Revenant Caves is objectively the worst update in OSRS history. It was primarily designed by a corrupt moderator with the express intent of setting up a gold farming system for his clan. It brings nothing positive to the Old School experience and is a massive detriment to the in-game economy. All the evidence indicates that revenant caves should not exist. We should have the opportunity to vote on excising this update for good.

    If you must keep them in (to preserve the soundtrack if nothing else) remove their drop table and make them pure scenery monsters like the bats in the Shilo Village cave.

    I never played this as a kid, and it was hard to get into after playing so many modern MMOs, but this game is truly a masterpiece

    I am still a noobie, only a few level 50 skills and a few other lvl 30s, but I have this drive to grind in this game that matches no other MMO I have played in years. I typically end up quitting MMOs soon after I get into the grind because most of the time, the grind is so boring and you rarely die, but not in OSRS. I die more often than I would like to admit, but it's always because I was unprepared or not paying attention. The skill grind is the essence of RuneScape, and choosing what to grind is 100% up to you, it's a true sandbox. The player gets absolute freedom of choice, and it's impressive how much you can do with that. Before trying it out, RS seemed like an old game with models that look like play-dough and was only played for nostalgia, but the way I feel playing it is not what I could have expected. Everything you do in this game somehow opens up another part of the game, whether it's through giving you xp, loot, cash, or unlocking quests. Everyone's path through this game is different because we were all interested in trying different skills on day 1, this game doesn't want to tell you what to do. Every corner of this game is tutorial-ized and findable on youtube, but doing it without the help of the internet would be terrible, you have to plan every move. I have yet to play a more satisfyingly non-linear progression system in an MMO, and it just keeps getting better as I find more things that I want to aim for. It is the CSGO of MMORPGs, may this game never die.

    edit: not to put any other MMOs down, many of them have their strong points and to each their own.

    edit2: I wonder what do you guys think about RS in comparison to other MMOs?

    [Suggestion] Just make rev caves like the cyclops room in the warriors guild. Earn tokens by doing wildy slayer, gain temporary access to the caves.

    Make the tokens rare, and the drop rate scale - similar to Larrans keys. Tokens will drop on death. This will get more people to do wilderness slayer, will suppress the massive gold farm, and will require PKers to either do wilderness slayer, or kill those who are doing it to gain access to pk in the rev caves.

    Pros:

    Revives wilderness

    Revives wilderness slayer after the emblems were removed

    Fixes one of the largest gold farms in the game

    Cons:

    My Venezuelan cousin will have to learn Vorkath

    Makes your wilderness slayer locked HCIM more risky
