    Jagex has been clueless about PvP, with Mat K admitting that the team had no idea what they wanted to do for BH2 which is why he blocked it for years. Forcing a VLS to bribe players to play a minigame only shows they still don't know what they're doing

    This isn't just another PvM upgrade to make the game easier, this is a highly refined meta of competition between people. You can't just force an immensely powerful reward to get people to play your content. PvP doesn't work like that. You only have to look at pre-eoc to see what happens if you get careless about powercreep; pre-eoc had to add damage soaking to all armour like an ely, and then give everybody a free torva hitpoints boost from lighting some logs.

    Why are they this desperate in the first place? They haven't even started the half dozen things they outlined in their pvp vision document, like adding a PJ timer to the wilderness. The next revision of Bounty Hunter isn't even out yet with its substantial changes, why force something this big and controversial? The VLS section of the blog went through 2 revisions and they still didn't include any details about the balance of the weapon such as how much special attack it will use, they literally link the RS3 wiki as if that's even relevant! Seemingly clueless that the VLS already exists in LMS and has its own OSRS wiki page.

    BH2 was abused and no amount of rational player feedback mattered. It took Torvesta making Jagex look bad with a video to pull BH2. Nothing will make Jagex look worse than defying the foundation of this games existence, the polling system, just to get people to play a minigame. And just because you may agree with it this time doesn't mean you will next time, or the time after that.

    Integrity changes are just that, changes. What the hell is an integrity addition? "We found that players with over 2000 total were voting in their own self interest of a max cape when voting down new skills, we controlled for this bias and hence will release Warding with its summoning familiars and AOE buffs included, since it will only take 1 month to develop and will be integral to the growth of Jagex's ever expanding pocketbook."

    OSRS runs entirely on trust. Trust is why we dedicate hundreds or thousands of hours to this game. The OSRS community has trust that only content that meets the high standards of the community will be added. It took 7 years to build up this level of trust and a record amount of players, why change everything now?
