I took the natural history quiz in the Varrock Museum and am absolutely astonished at the incompetence present in an institution of such regard. What's more, the authority of the institution has allowed those same mistakes to be carried over into the Wiki! In the west room of the museum is the giant mole display which, upon reading the plaque before it, has been given the taxonomic name Talpidae Wysonian, translated as "Wyson's mole."

Here's the thing. The things. Two things. Here are the two things: in scientific taxonomy, the "-dae" suffix is reserved for family-level groups, not species! The talpids are the members of the Talpidae family of moles, shrew moles, desmans, and other close relatives, but not one of those species has "Talpidae" as its genus-level name. That's not how this works! SECONDLY, binomial nomenclature capitalizes only the first name, so despite the giant mole being Wyson's mole, the species-level name "Wysonian" should really be "wysonian".

Jagex, here's what I propose: ~~shrew~~ do the right thing. Get your scientific taxonomy in order. If you really want the giant mole to be properly named and highlight its mole-ness, there's already a genus-level name that would be but a minor change: Talpa. In one of countless revisions taxonomy has experienced, I hereby recommend Talpidae Wysonian be renamed as Talpa wysonian.
