    For mid-level players, we expect gold per hour rates [for killing Sarachnis] to be competitive with Barrows. High level players can expect to make more, scaling with their ability to kill the boss faster.

    Sarachnis was polled as a mid-level boss with gp/hr competitive with Barrows. Currently, Sarachnis makes about half as much gp as Barrows, and a fair portion of Sarachnis's drop table fails to even cover the cost of a pray pot/food/dose of super combat used for a kill at mid level without really much chance of a "good drop" like other things at that level (see: the approximately 1 in 15 chance of getting at least one Barrows unique, all of which are worth far more than the giant egg sac). Realistically, with the hard diary completion (which basically everyone around combat level 100 has done) and with making sure to not get bolt racks, Barrows is a bit more profitable than the wiki says, not to mention far more afk - and you can use a clan wars teleport instead of super restores as well as Iban Blast instead of Slayer Dart to increase profit per hour even more than the wiki says.

    Obviously adding more uniques isn't really a realistic option, but it'd be nice if they at least buffed the non-unique drops to match what was originally polled. Currently, Sarachnis has little to no point in game except possibly for ironmen, and even in that case, Sarachnis isn't really a good way to get anything other than red spider eggs (and even that is arguably quicker and cheaper by just picking em up and world hopping). The boss is pretty fun and a good way to learn mechanics in preparation for higher levels, but right now, it's far from the mid-level moneymaker the devs polled it as. It's less money per hour than buying climbing boots, ffs.
