Posted: 03 Sep 2021 10:13 AM PDT Title. GIM having more restrictions than normal Ironman makes no sense to me. It's legit just a fun game mode to play iron with your friends, not a sweatier version than iron man mode. Jesus Christ Jagex stop listening to the Twitter keyboard Warriors, you're just gonna release a dead game mode. Guess it'll be fun watching streamers play it for the 10th time until raids 3… And for all of you saying why don't I play a main with my friends, it's because the GE is too tempting. I enjoy the play style of iron and I have friends who do as well, we want the achievement of playing iron just together. We already play our solo irons and hang out while doing that, but it would be hype to have everyone working together on progression that impacts us all. Making mains means that there will be temptation to use the GE, accidental pickups of drops that aren't ours, potential conflicts of using in-game mechanics normally restricted for irons (such as NMZ rewards, PoH host worlds etc etc). The list goes on. "Just be honest" is not a fair argument for why not group mains instead of GIM, especially since Jagex is already willing to create a mode that would cater to how we want to play, I'm just confused why it has to be so goddamn elitist and drastically different from how normal iron restrictions when inherently it's a cheesier game mode for fun with the boys. Should raids have always been forced so you can't boost? Should it have been unsafe? Hell yeah, I agreed with that since the beginning. Changing it now just screws over people who never got the opportunity to learn it before and that's just not the way the game works, so why the hell is it being tacked on now in a fun game mode of all things? Because a bunch of mains are salty about how Ironman mode has always worked and will continue to work? That's bullshit, I don't agree with a game mode being more elitist than Ironman mode when it is inherently cheesier than Ironman mode. Why should a mode I can 5x supplies with the boys and funnel / swap items to access content even faster be MORE restrictive than my solo iron I've progressed myself? [link] [comments]

We need to talk about false bans Posted: 03 Sep 2021 06:13 AM PDT Disclaimer: I am not looking to get any account unbanned, mine or others. This post is purely due to the unanswered "false ban" posts. A false ban is a ban where the player has not broken any rules. Frankly, I'm pissed off with the state of the game, the state of support, and the incidence of false bans. It's fucked up. In this subreddit, commenters have the attitude of "guilty until proven innocent". They see a player on reddit/twitter complaining about being false banned, and they assume that they're lying. Now, I can't blame them 100%. This stance is manufactured by Jagex themselves. Try this: Search on reddit for falsely banned accounts. The majority go unanswered, ignored by staff, even if they reach thousands of upvotes. But players easily forget these posts, what they remember are the smackdowns by Jagex staff. Even though these smackdowns only happen on a minority of posts, they stick in the Redditors mind, convincing them that every player complaining about false bans is lying and deserves to be banned. After all, the vast majority of Jagex staff responses on these posts are smackdowns, skewing players views. People end up thinking that the majority of "false bans" are genuine, and they believe the player deserves it. They even give abuse to the player. Imagine this: you just lost your account for no reason, you didn't break the rules but got banned, and then you see there's no way to appeal. You come onto Reddit as a last resort, and receive abuse from other Redditors, telling you that you broke the rules. This is toxic and is ridiculously unfair. If you're one of these people, just wait for it to happen to you. So, do people think that false bans never happen? Truthfully, I believe they're much more common than people realize. It's happened on stream with multiple streamers. There have been many false bans that new players have received, that have fortunately been reversed. But how many are missed? How many new players don't know about reddit and twitter? How many accounts have been lost? Demands:
No system is perfect and mistakes are made. That's acceptable. But what is unacceptable is the fact that there's no recourse, no way to appeal. Also, the toxic attitude on reddit needs to change. Until somebody is proven to have broken the rules, they shouldn't face abuse. This is exactly why support should be available through the OSRS website. Edit: All my comments on this are getting downvoted. Seems suspicious. It's not like what I'm saying is something many players disagree with, surely? Look, I like the game too, but not having support is ridiculous. I'm shocked that people still defend Jagex on this issue. Jmods have done a great job of convincing people that anyone who's banned is guilty. [link] [comments]

Runelite Suggestion: Boss says 'Sit' when killing player Posted: 02 Sep 2021 06:53 PM PDT I don't have enough toxicity in my life as someone that only bosses and so whenever I fuck up a flick or miss a dodge I would like if someone talented in the ways of Runelite could get bosses to say sit whenever killing me. Remove (or increase capacity of) Coin Pouches with Diary Rewards Posted: 02 Sep 2021 07:54 PM PDT I understand that botting was a concern here, but I think that locking this behind Diaries would pretty much prevent that (not worth unlocking Hard & Elite diaries just to bot Ardy Knights). Coin Pouches could either be removed entirely (maybe as a reward from the Elite Diary), or having the Hard Diary complete could increase the number that you could hold (28->56) and having the Elite could again increase that amount (56->84).
