    ###Daily /r/2007scape question thread for {{date %A, %B %-d %Y (posted on %X UTC - RuneScape server time)}

    Ask anything about Old School RuneScape here! They are designated for you to ask anything you like that is relevant to the game or this subreddit. Remain respectful to your fellow 'scapers when answering questions; there are stupid questions, but it does not mean you should not be respectful whilst answering them.

    Keep in mind that this is not a developer Q&A thread - questions for the game developers should be posted in the weekly developer Q&A posts.

    The following is a post that says how many players that get a 99 in any skill go on to eventually get maxed.

    I did the same post 3 years ago. The first list is as of current, Jan 1st 2021, and the list at the bottom is from 3 years ago.

    Think I solved the biggest problem with Soul Wars

    Posted: 09 Jan 2021 08:51 AM PST

    Boosting is the meta because people are interested in the pet.

    Let's face it, the only people excited about the regular loot are ironmen even though this was meant to be a pvp activity and the loot should have benefitted pkers.

    Anyway, the pet is dropped from loot crates, which is tied to zeal, which is tied to wins, which makes boosting efficient.

    WHAT IF

    We simply tied the pet chance to completing any game of soul wars, win or lose.

    That way, players can concentrate more on the game itself. Players will still try and boost for maximum games per hour, but with this update coupled with an auto-generate team feature, I really feel the activity would become a lot less like it is now, which is less about the game and more about accumulating as much zeal as possible and is totally demoralising when you lose as it feels like you've wasted your time. If, instead you still had a pet roll, it wouldn't feel that way.

    What are your thoughts?
